How your support makes a difference

The Swedish Foundation is the grateful recipient of all proceeds from the 2023 Blake Pottle Foundation “Opt Outside to Fight Cancer” 5K. This generous donation is being used to purchase a much-needed ceiling lift for patients receiving treatment at SCI Issaquah. A special thank you to the nursing team, especially Rebecca Montanez, for their guidance and leadership in this process.

Like so many things, until you experience something firsthand, you can never imagine the physical toll a cancer diagnosis will take on you and your loved ones. When health declines and mobility issues surface, it takes a lot of planning and diligence to keep everyone safe. We hope that the ceiling lift will ease the burden and provide reassurance for the patient, the nurses, and the caregivers of those battling cancer."
